It’s been 45 years and the hills will be once again live. According to Harpo Studios,the entire cast of the 1965 Academy Award-winning movie musical, The Sound of Music will appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show later this month.Lead characters [lastfm]Julie Andrews [/lastfm] and Christopher Plummer are even slated to be on the show.
Andrews , who had non-cancerous throat nodules removed in 1997 will not sing on the TV program. The removal of the nodules initially left her unable to sing.
The program will, however include a live performance from the von Trapp Children.
Andrews and Plummer are expected to discuss the impact the film has had on cinema and families over the past four decades.
