Waaaaay back in 1990, it was all about “Poison” for [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Bell Biv DeVoe[/lastfm] ! Now the handsome hunks that make up the trio are moving towards new music as well as more live performances!
“Initially we were just touring and performing the classics,” says BBD member Ricky Bell, who, along with bandmates Ron DeVoe and Michael Bivins, is slated to perform on NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”, February 23rd.
With songs on iTunes as well as recent live performances under their belt, the setting is perfect for new music.
The group is looking forward to the opportunities to play with a live band as well as picking new and fresh music that will eventually be tuned into hits.
In the upcoming performance on the “Jimmy Fallon Show” they will belt out the tune that placed them on the map of R&B royalty. They will sing “Poison” alongside The Roots. ”They thought it’d be a good idea to bring a classic like ‘Poison’ to the TV screen with the Roots, and we couldn’t hold back on our excitement to play with them,” said DeVoe in a statement.
Group members also add that they are spending time contributing to solo releases by their former [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]New Edition [/lastfm]bandmates: [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Bobby Brown[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Johnny Gill [/lastfm]and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Ralph Tresvant[/lastfm].
