Our own Beatrice Thompson will be a panelist at Wingate College for a debate featuring Democratic incumbent Larry Kissell and Republican challenger Richard Hudson. Both candidates are running for Congress in the 8th District.

The debate will take place on Monday, Sept. 24 at 2pm in the Batte Center on the campus  and will be featured on C-SPAN.  It is expected to focus on health care and financial security. The event is co-sponsored by Wingate University and AARP.

The debate is free and open to the public.
