You may not know all of their names, but chances are your kids do.  Despite what you might think Hollywood is not short on young African-American talent; now the availability of African-American roles is another matter. However, that is another article all together.

Regardless of the shortage of roles for blacks, several young stars are proving that they have the motivation, talent, and professionalism to make it in Tinseltown. Many are proficient in acting, singing, and dance and have amassed large followings of wide-eyed tweens. One common thread between our favorite talented stars 20 and under is that they all possess an innate confidence and self-awareness.

With all of the pressures out there for kids to be themselves it is refreshing to know that these stars resist the pressure to conform and are forging careers out of true individualism. Here are our favorite young brave stars.
