He had some of the best club bangers back in the day with unforgettable tracks that include ‘Fake’, Criticize’ and ‘Saturday Love.’ Today is Alexander O’Neal’s 58th birthday. Unknown to most, he was signed by Prince to be the lead singer of the group The Time but a disagreement with Prince led to Alexander leaving the group and eventually being replaced with Morris Day. He went on to have a tremendous solo career with three consecutive albums going Gold with the biggest being 1987′s ‘Hearsay.” In all Alexander O’Neal had a total of eight top 20 singles and still performs to this day.
