There seems to be lot of suing going on when it comes to many of our artists who have passed on. Next on the list appears to be Nina Simone‘s estate suing HTC phones and tablets over a add using Simone’s 1965 single “Sinnerman” without getting permission from the estate.
According to TMZ, the lawsuit alleges that the ad uses Felix the house cat mix of the song. Nina Simone’s estate is asking for $1 million in damages. The North Carolina native died at her home in France in 2003 after battling breast cancer for nearly 4 years.
