Did You See The Pictures From The Blair Parade, Yet?
Chirl Girl and Mr BIG had a ball at the 9th Annual Blair Coalition of Churches Family Day and Parade!
The Blair Parade began at Gethsemane Baptist Church and ended at the Willie Lee Robinson Field. People lined the highway with chairs and coolers and waited for the fun to start! This year’s parade offered bands, car clubs, church groups, beauty queens, politicians and even Buffalo Soldiers on motorcycles! Family Day started right after the parade with all of the churches cooking out and offering free food and drinks to the entire community! The Blair Parade was like a church homecoming and big family reunion all at once!
Food, Fun and Fellowship are the reasons that the community supports this event! The parade provided fun for everyone in the family! Family and friends got together and the Blair Coalition of Churches served up some good food! This weekend, we ate everything that can be grilled, fried or baked known to man! Oh my goodness, the folks in Blair, South Carolina can cook! And they made everyone feel at home and like we were part of the family!
The children had a good time, too! They were able to play and run free all day! They also go to enjoy the inflatable slide, Moonwalk and Jousting Ring!A special thank you to the members of the Blair Coalition of Churches: Gethsemane Baptist, Hassion Hill, Little River, Old Hope Station, St. Matthews No. 2, Weeping Mary, Zion Hopewell and Rock Hill Church of Jenkinsville.
I look forward to going back next year!
